Saffron is the most valuable spice in the world. It is also known as ‘red gold’ and has a warm temperament among the herbs. This red gold is a brilliant spice that warms up the head when you smell it and warms up the digestive system when you drink it as a tea. It also reduces the side effects of cold foods such as rice, milk, black tea, etc.
Saffron is also capable of boosting the concentration and general cognitive function when consumed as well as sexual performance in men and women.
Note: Saffron should be consumed in small dosages. Whilst consuming an appropriate amount during labour can help ease the delivery of a baby, consuming it in excess can cause miscarriage in pregnant women.
